HotelsByHospitals.com is a subsidiary of Solutionz Group International, located in Tampa, Florida. Solutionz Group (www.solutionz.com) is a consulting firm specializing in technology for the Travel Industry.
HotelsByHospitals was created out of a specific need experienced last summer by our founder and CEO, Chicke Fitzgerald. While on a business trip, she received a call that her 16-year-old niece had just been in an accident and was in serious condition. Her niece was on vacation in Wyoming and was airlifted to Billings, Montana and when she got the call, Mrs. Fitzgerald had one thing in mind, to be by her side.
To accomplish that, she first needed to make her flight reservation and find a hotel near the hospital, then determine whether she needed a rental car. Since she is an expert in travel technology, she knew that although there are websites where you can make the travel arrangements, there is nowhere that marries the hospital information with the hotel information. As a result, she needed to visit the hospital site to get the address, and then visit a travel site and a driving directions/mapping site to complete her arrangements.
Once the crisis was over, and Sarah was on the mend, they needed to book a one-way ticket for her niece and sister back to Bellingham, Washington where they lived. It did not take very long for Mrs. Fitzgerald to realize that there was a need for a new service and HotelsByHospitals was born.
HotelsByHospitals was created to make life a little easier for family members and friends of a loved one in the hospital.
Hospitals can now provide this service to their patients and their families by simply adding our logo and a link to their unique page on their website.
This business was built around people; our main goal is for the traveler to find everything on one site, with competitive prices, convenience, and ease of use.
